A fat-burn home workout during the holiday season

Three Fat-Burn Exercises: Fighting Extra Calories and Guilt Without Giving Up Tradition

The holidays are almost here, and the risk of finding ourselves in January with a spare tire around the waist is increasingly real. As always, we let ourselves go with lavish lunches and big holiday dinners, only to regret it when we’re back in front of the mirror once the celebrations are over.
Conviviality and food indulgences are an irresistible pair, no point denying it.

Instead of imposing unrealistic bans and eating rules bordering on dietary fanaticism, let’s learn to do steady, healthy physical activity.

The solution, in fact, is not to stick to an iron-clad diet even at Christmas – which is rather unlikely – but to try to pair our cheat meals with exercise.
That way we can adjust the intensity and volume of our workout according to the amount of calories we are about to eat.

THE WORKOUT

It’s winter, temperatures are gradually dropping and, for many, training outdoors is not a pleasant option.
Besides, when you exercise outside the home in the cold, the risk of breathing in too much icy air and catching a cold is not to be underestimated. A bad cold would force us into enforced rest.

Our home offers all the space we need (even in a studio apartment!) to stay toned and active, giving the body a mild, constant temperature.

Today we are suggesting a fat burn circuit made up of three exercises. It is, to all intents and purposes, a fat-burning sequence.

The exercises should be done in quick succession, one after the other, alternating 30 seconds of very intense work with 15 seconds of rest.

If we train every day, we can repeat this sequence for a maximum of three rounds; if we train every other day, the ideal is to repeat the sequence for a maximum of four to six rounds.

The first exercise is a high-knee skip that ends with a squat.

The second exercise is a forearm plank with leg raise, that is, with straight legs lifted:

  • with the elbows under the shoulders and the legs well extended, we alternate lifting the lower limbs.

Keeping in shape is hard for many people, and a sensible approach can be to get help from fat-burning foods.

A good food of this kind must be filling, low in calories and able to stimulate the metabolism.

Coffee is by far the most effective food for burning fat; in fact, caffeine is used to break up cellulite deposited in the fat pads and in therapies associated with it.

Another effective way to burn excess fat is to add to your diet the fiber found in fruit, legumes and grains.
Eating raw vegetables is also a sound strategy for getting back in shape while staying healthy.

The Eathlon method suggests the right combination of meals.

The third exercise, the most complex, involves three different movements.

The first is a bouncing squat, the second a hand walk, and the third movement is a push up, that is, a bending of the arms.

  • So we do six half squats, stand up and walk out on our hands
  • We do one push-up and then walk our hands back to the starting position.

To conclude, let’s remember how important sport is, but for a truly healthy lifestyle, careful nutrition is essential.
